Collection: Moms Colours
A part of what I lovingly call my “Mom” collection, this is one of the designs that I have that was originally created and painting by my mother, Rosalind McLean in her home studio.
I always held onto this painting simply because I loved it. Over the years, and from city to city, this was always one of the pieces I made sure to hold onto. Today it currently hangs on the walls until I one day will need to move it again- but I reckon that this is one of those pieces that I’ll always carry with me because of all that it represents.
I love how vibrant and dynamic it is. The use of the golden pearlescence on top of the turquoise dripping background, makes me want to ensure that you feel like you can reach out and touch it.
This is one of those pieces that I enjoy getting to share with the world as it’s brilliance and dynamism really help it stand out - plus, what is better than wrapping yourself in the hug of a loved one.
Originally a mixed media painting featuring bold drips of gold so thick you can feel them, this piece is layered with techniques that really help it stand out in a big way.
