Shatter Scatter

There’s something special about returning to styles and patters that you’ve made before. This painting took a long time to get it to where I felt like it was what I had wanted it to be. But adding the outlined geometric shapes went a long way to tying the piece together in a major way. 

Overall what I like most about this piece is just how dynamic it became. The many layers complimenting each other in a palette that I don't normally play with.

This painting is a mixed media painting comprised of several layers with heavy texturing throughout. Its dark yet contrasting pallet will compliment any room that wants a bold choice with a gemstone aesthetic.
